UPDATE – Philip points out, what the Dickens am I on about as there ain’t no such place, it’s the Pillars on Greek Street! Doh – I got confused by…a long story – Pillars it is! The GoogleMaps reference is fine – it is listed there.

Philip Woodgate has suggested meeting in The Dickens or The Pillars on Greek Street, W1 around 5.30. I’ve suggested The Dickens. David Terrar will be there and I’m hoping the MSM editors who make up the 15 Minute RoundUp team will be able to make it though I know for some it is press day so… I’ve asked other MSM colleagues along and a couple of PRs who are about to work in this medium.

In celebration of getting 15 Minutes off the ground, I’m putting some loot behind the bar so be early or go dry. Those that know me from my days as a hack will know this is a unique event!

It’d be great if Mike Magee can make it. He sold out to VNU today – well done mate. Those that don’t know him – Mike’s the guy behind The Inquirer – it gets 15 million page views per month. Mike was also one of the founders of the world renowed Register.

Anyone not sure of the location then check out GoogleMaps.

It’ll be a great opportunity to meet up as it’s a year since I was last in the UK. I’m really looking forward to hearing how Philip is getting on with selling the idea of SaaS in his client group.

I’ve got some great stories to share about how I’m taking podcasting forward, the lessons I’ve learned and the next venture I’m involved in.

For those that would prefer to learn something completely new, Ross Mayfield, CEO of SocialText is in town and plans a small WikiWed event. I’ve invited Ross to put in an appearance if time permits.

Philip and I will be there. I'll see if I can talk David Carter in to coming too.

Doh - now it makes sense - as I couldn't find the Dickens but...oh...let's not go there...Pillars it is.

What the Dickens are you lot on about.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a pub called the Dickens on Greek Street.

I was refering to what Dickens said about the Pillars of Hercules:

"A rather grand name for what is basically a tatty little old boozer, albiet a very likable one"

Good to see some things never change(especially the small bit.)

Dennis

I'd like to make it - but looks like I can't - I'm in Slovenia next day talking at a conference on flat tax (against it, of course).

I'd say have one on me, but it looks like you've already covered the tab, so I'll play mean like the usual accountant.

Richard
