Black eyes and baths

in General

I ought to know better but clearly I’m a slow learner. Early this morning I slipped as I was getting out of the shower. My head played ping pong with the bidet and my left arm, already suffering from a trapped nerve added a chipped bone to the list of injuries. I look like I ran into a Mike Tyson pile driver, can barely see out of my left eye and my head has been banging all day. Hours down the hospital and relieved of a very reasonable €48 plus taxi fares later – I’ve been feeling pretty sorry for myself. And virtually nothing got done.

Coincidentally, Gary Turner had advised me in email about the need for a break from blogging – I didn’t think it would be enforced.

UPDATE: Although it gives Jude much amusement to see me hobbling around from one room to another, at least I can see a bit more out of my left eye and my left hand has stopped throbbing as much. So here’s the innovation plea – when is someone going to invent a bath that truly has a non-slip bottom?

Did you see my post what I would do if I could retire early...I struck out the words "blog more"
