15 Minute RoundUp – Show 2 – 20th February, 2006

by admin on February 21, 2006

in General

The 15 Minute RoundUp Show 2 is now available. the original idea was to get it done for Monday lunchtime but that’s proving unrealistic. Richard Young, John Stokdyk and Damian Wild kindly give of their time and of necessity that means fitting conversations into busy and often unpredictable schedules. Also, the nature of what we discuss means there’s a fair amount of work required to get the show down to a manageable length. 15 Minutes? Nope but I think it’s genuinely worth it.

Show Notes

00:00 – 00:43 – intro

00:44 – 06:15 – Richard Young on the very different experiences of companies implementing IFRS

06:16 – 14:33 – John Stokdyk sees a bright future for vendors concentrating on practice management software – companies referenced include Sage, MYOB, CCH and KeyTime

14:34 – 22:56 – Damian Wild on what happens next for ICAEW and its merger attempts. References the surprisingly similar attitudes of partners in large firms and their industry colleagues plus the issues CEO Anstee faces in steering a course for the senior trade organisation

22:57 – 23:41 – outro
