Seth Finkelstein has provided an important correction to my post about using Google Finance. as a way of getting your views across about public companies. You DO need the name of the company and NOT the ticker. Kind of fundamental. Thanks Seth and apologies for not checking it out more thoroughly.
Even so, it doesn’t change my thinking about how this can be used though I take Seth’s point about the potential for spamming, which Google will need to address.
