Explaining compliance

One of the true skills of the talented professional accountant is the ability to explain complex problems in language anyone can understand. Sometimes, the easiest way to explain something is through the spoken word. Do a Google search on ‘compliance podcast‘ (I wonder if Dave Turner is listening?)

Seriously folks, don’t you think there is something sad that KPMG, Delloitte, Ernst & Young – in fact none of the UKs firms of accountants appear in the Google top 5, Delloitte limping in at no.6. I can assure any readers I am NOT the authority on compliance – whether by podcast or any other means.

Given what Neville Hobson has been saying about the growth of podcasting, it seems I may have a bit of a mountain to climb in my target readership. Ho hum

UPDATE: Tom Raftery has a great podcast with Niall Kennedy which explores aspects of blogging in employment scenarios. It’s really long, but worth every minute of your attention. Tom provides a good running order so you can pick and choose. Trust me – Niall’s words are directly relevant to your business and the issues around compliance. PS – I got to ask Niall a question through Tom – thanks,
