I am traveling to Innovate!Europe but I still want to keep up with events at SAPPHIRE while adding in other events I need to recall. to overcome this, I’ve integrated the SAPPHIRE bloggers calendar (SAP) with other things I’ve got going on. this has been done using Google Calendar (GOOG).
You could set one up for yourself – provided you have a Google Mail account that is. It can then be used as a crude tracking service or as a multiple person shared service. Useful for those who have busy calendars but who occasionally need to hook up with others for short projects.
You have to decide whether you want your calendar to be publicly available or not and you can send invitations to others who may be interested in sharing. The extent to which you regard this as business sensitive is up to you. But you can always create mixed private and public calendars.
Michael Arrington has a full review.
Something really cool – it understands different timezones and synchs shared calendars accordingly.
One SNAFU – doesn’t work well with AppleMail and is pretty ugly in Outlook.
Two nits – there’s SMS support – but only for US providers. Doh! Doesn’t render correctly in NetNewsWire.
