You too can be an expert

in Humour

The BBC excelled itself in the comedy stakes last week. Click the YouTube pic to see what the fuss is all about. From the BBC itself. For a fuller story about how a black, French, London based cab driver became an iPod and iTunes expert in favour of a lily white, bearded, blue eyed ‘real’ expert – read the Daily Mail account.

I’m already getting people saying: “Get that ‘guy’ a blog.” A sentiment with which I fully concur. And as Alex Barnett says:

So who said We the Media… was overrated? ;-)

To me, this ranks up there alongside Delboy and Rodney being under the wrong chandelier. Of course I’m sure the real Guy doesn’t see things in quite the same light.

So maybe the social computing mavens really are correct. Anyone can be an expert.

Damn! If I'd known it was that easy, I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble over the last twenty years … if I hang around the BBC foyer for a while what are my chances of being considered an expert on Middle East relations? Pretty good, if that's any indication.
