NetSuite goes retail – but not here yet

Tom Foydel talks about NetSuite closing a deal which sees CompUSA 600+ retail chain as a fresh channel to market for this SaaS player. The same could be done in the UK but I’ve not seen evidence of it yet. The bit that really caught my attention was this:

The other part of the deal is that CompUSA will reach out to local firms like ours for help in implementation, at least that’s what they are saying now. We welcome the additional business and the chance to work with a national partner.

Oooh – I’d not thought of that. So…who’s going to be the first SaaS provider to broker a deal with PC World in the UK? They have training facilities and could do tie ups with local savvy firms of professional accountants that get the SaaS story. Now there’s a tantalising thought for those thinking about practice development.
