You've got RSSmail

John Clough’s searching around for a decent RSS reader. In email he said/asked:

“I’m using Newsgator at the moment. Seems a bit low on features (although I’m not sure what else I could possibly want). Any recommendations? What do you use?”

As I said to John, it depends on what you want to do. I currently use NetNewsWire on Mac though I’m not over enamoured. When I mark ‘all as read’ next time I load I often get some of the same stuff as unread. That’s annoying when you’ve hundreds of feeds (like me.) There’s any number of feed readers out there but which one you choose is very much a matter of personal preference, whether you’d like RSS integrated to email (as you can with RMail and FeedBlitz) and whether you want to add in social bookmarking tools like del.icio.us, Digg etc so you can make collections of related or interested posts.

David Terrar has a decent Insider’s Guide that should help folk make a choice.

If you want to go several steps further, Redmonk’s Cote has a very useful guide to using del.icio.us as an alternative to sending links via email

Thanks for the mention.

I've been using Vienna of late and really liking it. It's open source, so it's free, and it sure looks pretty on the desktop.
