Mike Arrington at TechCrunch has a detailed review of SKY-click, a video and Voice over IP (VoIP) web-based call centre management systems that is Salesforce.com compliant. Why, as a professional accountant would you care?
Over the last few months I’ve been thinking about the professional practice of the near future. Technology will lie at the heart and the profession will be transformed from one that is grounded in tradition to one that is grounded in technology enabled business. You could for example use the service to deliver over the wire training for SaaS accounting applications. Or anything else you want your clients to learn about.
Looking ahead, if you decide to implement Salesforce.com, then you could think about setting up virtual call centres to manage sales and marketing campaigns. Since SFdC has Outlook integration, you could use that as the source for existing client pitches. Just for starters. Impressed?
