Rss For Sfdc

If you’re contemplating Salesforce.com then you might wish to check out Charlie Wood’s screencast of how you can build an RSS feed – essentially a report – for pretty much anything that’s in your SFdC account.

Not only is this a great demo, but in less than 2 minutes, you can eliminate uncoordinated, disconnected email notifications, instead receiving information via your favourite RSS reader. Imagine you’re advising a client about how they can get quality sales related information, delivered in real time from anywhere they have a connection to SFdC. Is that innovative enough for you?

When SFdC eventually gets an accounting module into its AppExchange, imagine how much more useful that information will be to clients – and you as advisor.

PS – i’ll be meeting Charlie next week. He’s a really smart guy.
