Be nice to SAP day

Big Love

While everyone (I hope) knows it is St. Valentine’s Day, what they won’t know is it is also Be Nice to SAP Day. Overnight, I was in comment and email contact with Sara Larsen, Director, SAP Global Small Enterprise Marketing. It seems there are some odd goings on at the Business One destination the company didn’t know about.

Shock…horror…think of the lost opportunities.

The really nice thing is that Sara was totally upfront about the issue, pleased to have been advised about it and offering to hook me up with another Business One SAPper. That’s customer relationships in action as far as I am concerned. Maybe Sara will blog about it at some point.

Five years ago, a SAPper would have choked on those words and even then might well have ended up in ABAP hell for even uttering them, while watching Walldorf Blue blood flow from her slashed wrists.

It is appropriate that today should also be the final day of the Stormhoek Big Love tour. Did I mention…Stormhoek is providing the wine for Wiki Wednesday? In case you’re interested.

Dennis-- Thanks for the valentine :-) Hopefully what you are starting to see as SAP spends more time investing in its on-line experience and how we approach small business customers, is an openess to feedback and more flexiblity with how we share and present information. Great points too on how we can be working with the influencer groups that help small businesses decide on what IT solutions are best for them. As I mentioned, we have a few people working on that now, and we would like to discuss collaborating with you on how we can better reach those groups with the right information-- both on product and how customers may be using SAP Business One today. Hearing feedback from key influencers is especially helpful, as we are in a better position to respond to customer demo and product information requests. Let me know your thoughts.
