Off to London – 1st stop Google

I’ll be heading off for London in a few hours, attending a series of events and meetings. First up will be the London Geek Girl DInner, being held at Google’s central London offices. I’m going as the guest of Rosie Sherry. This is an incredibly popular event with a long waiting list past the 100 people already signed up. Good to see so many ladies self-supporting.

The back story to this is that now FreeAgent Central is out in the wild, we’re looking for girl geeks to give it a thorough hammering. I’ve always felt that ladies are far better than men at having an obsessive attention to detail. That’s a good thing. If the service is to come out of beta in the shape the team wants then the more ladies we can attract, the better it will be.

Also, I’ve never been to a Google sponsored event so this will be new territory for me.

Yes. Obsessive attention to detail. "Good to see so many ladies, self-supporting?" Dennis. ahem. Imagine that? We can vote now too!!! It got so exciting when they let us read...

Don't be surprised if *you* don't get a thorough hammering in the form of geeky girl ribbing for these old school remarks.

kiss kiss!
