Getting The Point

by admin on November 7, 2007

Sometimes I see something and think: “It’s obvious, why didn’t I think of that?” That’s what happened today when I saw The Point. I’ve no idea how I stumbled upon it. Some random person probably threw me a link.

The Point acts as a focus for anything from customer complaints, employee concerns and citizen advocacy. The idea is that anyone can create a campaign and provided it has enough people signing on, ie reaches a tipping point, then the problem has a better chance of getting resolved.

Now I know where to go when the telcos and airlines tick me off. In the meantime, Wal-Mart is a target. I bet Stuart Jones could make good use of this. But what if people started using this kind of thing to have a crack at the profession? Scary stuff eh?

Strikes me as a great platform for non-profits to expand their fund raising footprint!

The Point looks great. Is there a UK version?

@Emily: it's global ie no requirement to worry about territory.
