The shareholders had shares in a company that was driven into the ground by the directors. Full stop. It's tough, but they should lose their money. That's the risk of holding shares, isn't it? No-one bails out the shareholders of other companies that go bust... If the government hadn't stepped in the bank would have been in administration and the consequent fire sale would have raised next to nothing... Yours, grumpily on a cold Monday morning!
