I recently downloaded Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac thinking I might use Entourage to help me organize the list of calls for which I’m getting n increasing number of requests. As with everything Microsoft, the install chewed up a lot of disk space: 1.1 GB to be exact but seemed to go reasonably smoothly.
The first thing I wanted to do was import all my email from Apple Mail running on Leopard (Mac OSX 10.5), which I have set up to pull in my GMail. All seemed to be going reasonably well, if slowly, until I came to look at what Entourage had done. It stopped importing received items at 29th October, 2007 meaning that some four and a half months of inbound email is missing.
I checked Apple Mail to ensure the originals are all there. I also checked in with the MacOSX forums to see if others are experiencing the problem. None of the suggestions work so now I’m stuck. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
