If you fall below the minimum wage, they owe you money. Since the effective wage for salaried CA firm staff is over $20 an hour and the minimum wage is less than $10, it is - thank goodness - rare to the point of being essentially impossible for this scenario to happen. Which is cold comfort for salaried staff who aren't getting O/T, but that's how Quebec operates. Kind of odd for a French language jurisdiction, don't you think?.
