It’s not often I’m gobsmacked but Xero adding an iPhone client is goodness. If you use an iPhone then you’ll know it is the gold standard in PDA interfaces and while I’ve been sceptical about putting financial clients onto this device I can see the utility. As the company says in its blog post:
Xero for iPhone gives you an overview of the accounts for every organisation you manage. See all your bank balances, recent transactions and who owes you money. You can even call any contact with a single tap.
It’s the last sentence that caps it for me. Now if they could push alerts to the client, then they’re truly rocking.
As an aside, Philip Woodgate called me the other day. He’s been playing with Xero and reckons the browser interface is ‘gorgeous.’ He particularly likes the way Xero addresses the need for simplicity while providing essential information to the user.
