…are going to see me crazily busy. As of tomorrow I’ll be in Boston for the week, listening to Drag Queens and minnows at the Enterprise 2.0 conference. But then I’ve already talked about that. So here’s my itinerary/schedule. Right at the end I mention a couple of ways of following the action, learnings and all that good stuff:

The conference has its own presence that includes blogs, discussions and other goodies. As an alternative way of seeing what’s happening, Eventtrack is following the conference as well.

It’s good to see there is a growing number of ways to follow events around the world, many of which will provide unfiltered views. It will be interesting to see the different perceptions that people have about the sessions, depending on how much they already know, their preference for learning and the extent to which the session speakers market rather than inform. That last point is always a risk. But then I’m not a fan of US style marketing.

Speaking of which, I’ve said before that I dislike the application of a “2.0″ appendage to the new stuff coming out. I’m not alone. For an updated version albeit on a slightly different tack, check out this aptly titled post: 10 things I hate about web 2.0. The levels of cynicism are up there with…well my own. Who knows, I might raise one or two as issues upon which session presenters might choose to comment. These two take my fancy:

4. The idea that spouting endless hyperbole about the latest doohickey widget is actually an interesting, compelling and worthy way for a grown man to spend his free time.

9. The popular but mistaken belief that there is a vast, unstoppable army of people in the world who actually care about this shit.

However, I am not returning empty handed. Courtesy of the incredibly kind Laura Fitton, I’ll be coming back with a Chumby for my long suffering good lady, Jude. On returning home Jude gets the pleasure of sorting out my grubby washing before I dash off on Monday morning for a quick two day trip to Lisbon. (The Chumby is NOT a bribe. :) )

As far as I know I’m not under NDA regarding the Lisbon gig but it’s probably better to talk about that event once I’ve returned. It will be interesting.
