It’s a while since I referenced David Terrar and how time flies. This morning (my time) he’s still cranking out copy on Pacific Time (it’s 3.00 am there) as he gears up for Office 2.0, 2008. I can’t attend this time and have mixed emotions about the event. On the one hand, it was great to be there in 2006 for the inaugural event but then you can never recreate past experiences. On the other hand, it’s always good to renew old acquaintances, something I shall sadly miss on this occasion. I’ll catch up with a few of the folks next week at TechEd. You can tell the autumn (fall) trade show season is quickly getting underway. The week afterwards is the monster Oracle OpenWorld. Another event I’ll miss.
Even so, it’s good to see that David has the opportunity to talk about ion (login required):
This week at the unconference, I’ll be presenting one of our projects, the award winning IT Counts community for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, as a case study to discuss guidelines to help you start and manage a successful and sustainable web community.
That’s something of which I am particularly proud to be associated.
In the meantime, here’s my Irregular take on Office 2.0 2008.
