This is a bit of a re-post from IT Counts but I make no excuses for pimping something I really like.
In this case, Xero will announce Monday (I have permission to talk about this now) how they are expanding their offering for practitioners to include a tool that allows professionals to easily ‘see’ what a client is doing AND provides a means to onboard as and when clients are ready.
It’s briefly explained in the video.
Xero is fulfilling more and more of the vision I’ve had for years that clients and professionals should have a seamless way of connecting in real time for mutual benefit. What’s more, with this iteration, Xero is giving the professional tools with which it becomes trivially easy to work with clients who may be interested in this style of service.
The catch is that Xero has to continue to offer drop dead easy solutions for its customers which so far it has done just fine.
There is still much that can be done from the practitioner end. Here’s a thought. How about taking sponsored feeds of the kind I have (and to which Xero is a customer) so that your clients (and/or your staff) can easily see whats’ going on in areas of common interest? How about developing multiple feed groups for market segments in which you operate? Trust me, this is easy to do for anyone reasonably skilled in Excel.
There was a time not so long ago when it was very difficult to get much quality information. Now I’m seeing more emerge, especially in the US, that can help practitioners and their clients in multiple ways. It doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t have to be time consuming.
In the meantime, it’s good to see Xero continuing to innovate in an area that has been so short of real advances in the last 10-15 years.
