Tactile and FreshBooks: another mashup

Tactile CRM + FreshBooks from Jake Stride on Vimeo.

Announced on the FreshBooks blog:

Tactile CRM has integrated with FreshBooks. For those who aren’t yet using a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, this may be a good excuse to start. You’ll be able to stay on top of your sales by recording every deal, email, telephone call, note, activity, meeting, and now invoices in TactileCRM.

Wow – that’s a good one. Check out the video which shows how easy it is to make the integration work. My only surprise is that it didn’t happen a while back.

The other day I was catching up with Ed Molyneux, CEO of FreeAgentCentral and we were noodling around the issue of integration. For some pieces of an application, it’s better to keep development in-house while for others, it is better to go outside. CRM is one of those areas where I would tend to go outside but…I’d prefer a consistent look and feel between applications. You can argue that sales and finance people have different needs and that therefore consistency of the look and feel is not so important.
