IAC-EZ, which has been making a name for itself in the US as an easy to use on-demand accounting system for the freelancer community is adding state taxes into the mix. According to the blurbs:
Sole proprietors, because they don’t have taxes withheld from their paychecks, need to pay estimated income taxes on a quarterly basis to both the federal and state governments. IAC-EZ is the only software that lets them see exactly how much they owe at any given moment.
Today, that calculation is limited to California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Texas, Virginia and Washington though other states will be added ’shortly.’
Tax calculations are an important and valuable part of the accounting mix, normally reserved for a professional. According to the company that can mean professional costs of between $200-800 per month.
IAC-EZ already plays nicely with Freshbooks:
IAC-EZ already automatically imports your business data from FreshBooks, so you can continue to manage your daily business in one place. Use IAC-EZ as your accountant-friendly view on top of FreshBooks. Check out the screencast to see how it works.
IAC-EZ is $19.95 per month with a two-week free trial option.
