You know as well as I do that the Big 4 firms are part of the problem. Their lax auditing and closeness to the merchant banks to earn fees, means they have failed to act in their independent, fiduciary duties.

One or more of the Big 4 will be sued for this poor performance. I agree that others lower in the rankings will profit.

Why are we not shouting ? Because politics has become dull and no-one really cares anymore. We would be better without them, but they are tolerated.

Yes, we are all &#163; 250,000 in debt per head in the UK. However, in the long run we are all dead.

I went self employed last year to seek enterprise and innovation. It has been fun. Lots more people will do it as the institutions continue to fold.</description>
