In late afternoon news, a source tells me that Kashflow will acquire b-con, the project, time and accounting service currently under development. b-con is aimed at the construction industry and has the novel ability to use touch screen technology. As I understand it, the developers have gone for an iPhone interface as they believe this will be best for those working on construction projects.
A spokesperson for Kashflow said that: “The time is just right for such an application. We heard of 30 plasterers working on a Barrett site in Leamington Spa that are being laid off. They were on PAYE and thought the idea of signing up for this service was perfect.” Asked how this will help, the spokesperson said: “We’re adding in a job board as the first major step.”
It is understood that Kashflow’s API will be extended to include inputs from the b-con service.
