I received this in email:
Learn the ins and outs of first-time IFRS adoption and other key issues — in a timely and convenient audio seminar that you can participate in — right from your office — on Thursday, April 23rd.
This practical two-hour audio seminar is the second of three IFRS sessions that highly regarded practitioner, Kathryn Byrne, CPA, is presenting for CCH. This program will walk through the process of first-time IFRS adoption, examine issues pertaining to private entities, and provide GAAP/IFRS comparisons between common items such as consolidation, intangible assets, PPE, and inventory. Visit the links above for complete details on this seminar.
When I clicked through to the site I find that CCH wants $249 for the pleasure. This is unacceptable at a time when basic information is becoming free(r.) AICPA has a blog dedicated to the topic. PWC has been in the IFRS game for years. They have dedicated resources. Here’s a WordPress search on the topic that delivers up dozens of articles. That should be more than enough to help people get a grip of the basics.
