BDO Seidman the US form is still responsible pending appeal for 170 million in compensatory damages and 352 million in punitive damages. A preliminary ruling in the BDO International case knocked out the possibility that the international firm would have to share in liability for this whole amount by taking out the punitive damages portion because of failure to prove gross negligence. Then the jury came back and said that BDO International was not responsible e for sharing in payment of compensatory portion either. But the total is still a millstone around BDO Seidman's neck and therefore the rest of the global network in turn. @martin,
