Just spotted this Dennis and quite like the analogy. And of course I'm all in favour of accountants "collaborating virtually with others who may be able to get the job done." ;-)

Fascinating stuff. For a while we've been talking about the idea of "Where's my Jag?", an online taxi concept that finds you a Jaguar to come and pick you up.

It's great that cabbies are starting to use Twitter, but how much fun would it be if you could Tweet for particular kinds of cars to come and collect you?

this baby for example... <a href="http://movementbureau.blogs.com/projects/2009/07/rethinking-the-luxobarge.html" rel="nofollow">http://movementbureau.blogs.com/projects/2009/07/...</a>

I was there. But I'm 38, live in central London, and could never dream of buying one. I'd hardly drive it, it would get scratched and I don't work for a corporate that provides limos. But I do have enough money, an iPhone, and a desire to use a "Where's my Jag" iPhone app.

Accountants need to start working on new ways to help taxi drivers and car companies make money using these tools. Instead of just auditing, and acting as receivers.

Thanks for writing about @tweetalondoncab...just returned from London yesterday and used the service to arrange for cabs to and from Heathrow. It's very new and still needs some work, but it is a great application of Twitter and definitely a cool innovation.
