Upcoming ICAEW IT Faculty webinars

by Dennis Howlett on September 2, 2009

Richard Anning, who leads the ICAEW IT Faculty has announced a series of free webinars to take place over the course of the next four months:

Over the coming four months we will cover the following (the third Thursday of the month at 12.30pm):

  • 17 September – A guide to e-auditing
  • 15 October – Deploying Green IT in your organisation
  • 19 November – A practical guide to online contracts
  • 17 December – Information security management update and review of ISO 27001/27002
  • This a is a really smart way to introduce members (and non-members) to topics of broad interest:

…if the high-level overview provided by the webinar whets your appetite for the subject, you can buy the publication online – or join the faculty and get it free of charge. (IT Faculty members can join in too: this is an opportunity to engage directly with the author on issues raised in the publication.)

I’ve long felt there are genuine opportunities for ICAEW and AICPA members to interact in a mutually useful manner. Could this be an opportunity you’d welcome? For US east coast people, the time would be a tad early at 6.30am – but hey – what better way to start your day?

BTW – I’m pushing for a bit more by way of ‘free’ out of the offering. ;)

    • @dennis - thanks for your comments. If we get interest from colleagues in the US, I am sure we can start future webinars slightly later.
