As promised, the above table shows you Sage’s currently available SaaS offerings. OK, so it’s not quite the ‘swathe’ I mentioned previously but it is better than nothing. What’s interesting to me are the offerings for South Africa and Spain. These are both countries where broadband access is limited and where cost is a sensitive issue. It has been said that the future of web apps is on mobile. I don’t know enough about that to be certain and I struggle to see it being much of a play in the business arena despite the fact I really like Billing Boss on iPhone/Android. Nevertheless, it is indicative that Sage is responding to what their individual markets want. When you’re looking at single markets, it isn’t always obvious how a vendor might need to respond in other territories. This table provides that nuanced view.
