GJ goes iPhone

by Dennis Howlett on November 9, 2009

Last Friday I met with Philip Woodgate, partner with Goodman Jones. Imagine my surprise when he hauled out an iPod Touch. I thought he was a Blackberry dude. It turns out that when GJ’s Blackberry contract came up for renewal, the IT department re-evaluated options and decided that iPhone was better. Not because of the applications but because their service provider could give them a better deal than is possible with Blackberry.

Philip says that as of this week, the whole firm will be on iPhone. That will mean Philip will need to find a home for his iPod Touch. Hmmm. Now there’s one for the books!!

Aside: I wonder how long before they ditch all those PC based laptops and go MacBook?

Disclosure: GJ is an occasional client
