According to Technobabble I am rated as the the world’s no. 2 blogger analyst. I don’t know quite what to think about that. At one level it is a terrific honor. At another I wonder who really cares. Especially on the buy side of the vendor/buyer equation. Having said that I must admit to being shocked and humbled at being included at this level for the first time.
On watching the Twitterstream around this topic it seems that many people are happy to see a ‘buy side guy’ make it into these ranks. Thank you all for your support in what I try to do.
Thanks to all of you who have commented, agreed, disagreed and effectively put me in this position. I hope that over the next year I can live up to your expectations of fearless yet fair repesentation of what this industry delivers.
Massive congrats to Jeremiah Owyang for taking the top slot. Jeremiah and I don’t see eye to eye on many things and some of our exchanges can best be described as ‘tetchy.’ Even so, Jeremiah fights for what he believes in and if nothing else, that’s something to be admired. As an aside, Jeremiah is a really nice person. Something to which I aspire.
