People get bent out of shape pretty quickly when I start lambasting limp efforts to inform the market about SaaS or trying on the good ol’ pay to play routine with vendors in lieu of doing any meaningful research work.
Imagine what it’s like when you put a handful of strong minded, rarely under-opinionated dudes into a webinar to slug out some of the issues? That’s what’s scheduled to happen 13th January.
My very good pal Vinnie (Maintenance) Mirchandani, ZDNet blog colleague and UK EuroCloud chair Phil Wainewright and Narinder Singh, co-founder of appirio along with yours truly are slated to provide what I expect will be an entertaining show. We know each other well but are not afraid of calling out if one or other is getting wrapped up in some of the hype or is otherwise talking nonsense.
My starter for 10? Every man and his dog will position themselves as cloud this and that. Most of it will be marketing fluff. Oh yes – and short of a nuke being dropped, there will 365 days in 2010 with a Gartner probability of 0.9.
If you like the sound of some probing discussion on this topic then sign up here. I understand the show already has some 140 registered.
