DH: one more key mistake SaaS companies make - quickly answering the basic question of "what is it that you do so better?" (on the website). With the sales cycle cost being a key measurement for SaaS vendors, vendors always push everyone to the free trial - but this turns out to be counterproductive. Customers don't want to go through hours of a free trial only to find out that this software is not for them. Best would be to say who its for, what does it do, what is it best at, and then I can make my decision so much easier (and I will be a VERY qualified customer)

benny
bennyshaviv.com

Finally, it has been useful to not onlu refresh my understanding of some of the applications but also to hear more detail from those with which I am less familiar. [...]
