Put on your sunglasses: Brightbook

Yesterday I received an email asking me to look at Brightbook. I haven’t and I won’t. Check the image above from the website. Fortunately I have spectacles that darken in sunlight but even that wasn’t enough to prevent me from wanting to close the link almost the moment I saw the site. Its appearance has all the allure I’d expect of something aimed at the Hannah Montana fans.

I know we all want our business applications to be more consumer friendly but this is taking it way too far in my opinion. About the only positive thing I can say at this stage is that Brightbook lives up to its name.

Only tossers judge a book by its cover.......

Had you not told us that this was a business application, there is no way I would have guessed that it was. While I agree with you that business apps need to be more consumer friendly, this clearly crosses the line between friendly and a flat-out joke.Tessa Carroll <a href="http://www.blogs.vbpoutsourcing.com" target="_blank">www.blogs.vbpoutsourcing.com

They certainly aim to be different. Maybe we should give them the booby prize? See:http://www.brightbook.co.uk/about_brightbook/th.....
