The keys to professional success

in General

A colleague I’ve been corresponding with since the earliest days of AccMan said that this month has been the most successful in the 20 years he’s been in business. I asked to what he attributes that success:

Value (profitability) and quality of new work from referrals AND Twitter AND web presence. And (probably) a better attitude on my part!

Says it all – have a great weekend peeps.

I used to be a practicing CPA. I recently was helping a friend with the sale of his business. I showed him how to compute his breakeven sales level. The concept was a complete revelation and I felt like the information I was giving him was something he has never had. He may not be the most financially savy guy in the world but he has owned a manufacturing company for over 30 years and has always used a CPA firm. I think his CPA has really been missing the boat in not providing more than financial statements and tax returns. His CPA may be successful but he hasn't been giving his client good service

Well I guess that is an example of how success comes from the right mix of ingredients , a well thought out recipe, and a passionate cook :-)
