All of a sudden I am invited to attend and present at gigs that reflect the interests of this blog and beyond. In the past I have assiduously refused these gigs on the ground I am reporting and analyzing what goes on. These days, I am part of the equation. In all cases my travel and expense is covered by sponsors but I am not drawing any speaker fees. Here’s what’s supposed to happen subject to airline strikes, volcanoes and sundry other unforseen events:
- June 14-17: Boston: Enterprise 2. I am in the coconut shy on at least two sessions explaining why I think the current thinking around collaboration is flawed. Oliver Marks and Sameer Patel along with Susan Scrupski are there to keep me from going completely off the rails. If cross functional (nay cross business) collaboration is of interest then this is the show to attend. Plus all the major analysts in this field will be there.
- June 19th – London – SAP Inside Track: I am presenting on what it means to be a code writing rockstar for SAP and why those guys need to capitalize on the value they deliver. As Business ByDesign rolls out then this takes on massive importance to professionals.
- June 29th-30th: Chairing practical sessions at the 2nd World Cloud Computing Forum London. Expect to hear the tough questions asked about the reality and fantasy of cloud computing.
Goodness knows how many times I’ve said I’m not a ‘front of house person’ and on at least 2 of these gigs I am facilitating, hopefully asking the questions you want to hear answered. I’d prefer readers drop question comments so I can communicate directly back to the panel speakers. This is your chance. I only have so many questions I can ask based on my declared agenda to support cloud.
I will be videoing all sessions I attend, regardless of my vantage point…(speakers beware)
