Adrienne Gonzalez is a master of that genre of writing. I throughly enjoy her stuff and highly recommend. I’m sure she has taken to heart Stephen Fry’s admonition of all those who sniff at use of the F… word. That is part of her charm. We once met in San Francisco. Adrienne is EXACTLY as you might expect only with more tattoos. Anyhoo – she pinged me with this piece. I hate lists but I giggled uncontrollably at what she is saying. Please excuse the shameless self pimping but when well played, irony is a beautiful thing:
Don’t isolate There are some folks who get away with being reclusive hermits or narcissistic pricks that don’t engage with the broader group of us (I won’t name names) but for the most part, if you want people to embrace what you’re doing, you’re going to have to bite it and talk to them sometime. Don’t trip, we’re not that bad. You can pick and choose which of the bunch you associate with and no one is saying you have to like every other accounting blogger out there. But at least find a few who don’t annoy you to talk to and share ideas with every now and then. If Dennis Howlett can manage, so can you.

I’ve gotten at least 4 new tattoos since I last saw you. If you make it out to the DC metro at any point after I move we will have to do another meet up, I should have 30 more by then if I have skin left.
Glad you got what I was trying to say in that article, even IF the point was buried in the obnoxiousness of list form.
