As an attendee at NetSuite’s SuiteWorld conference it is hard not to be affected by the afterglow of enthusiastic customers and partners. But sniffing the perfume of love for a software vendor ain’t enough. I want facts to back the story. Here are some examples I saw on placards at the event:
- We avoided $275,000 in costs – Redbuilt
- We went live in 10 locations in 2 months’ – Jollibee
- We improved reconciliation efficiency 50% – Wasserman
- We increased sales revenue 10x – eset
- We save $150,000 per year in IT infrastructure – learning3.com
- We save $250,000 annually in IT overhead – SuccessFactors
- We manage 10x more relationships – Prudential Locations
- We increased sales by 30% and web traffic by 40%
These talk to the value cloud/SaaS delivers and contrary to received opinion, it isn’t just for the little guys. Also check out the video which talks to customer success in a humourous way.

“But sniffing the perfume of love for a software vendor ain’t enough. I want facts to back the story.” – Worth reading the post just for that one line. Bravo.
On a smaller scale my team has been involved in some very tight deadlines this week. Pitch in the UK’s bonanza public holidays in the last month and our own year end run up and it adds up to evitable strain. All I can say is thank the heavens we were in the cloud with Twinfield it shaved off at least a days work from the old days.
